I am busy
with a PhD-degree in Applied Mathematics at the University
of Stellenbosch in South Africa. I
have been appointed full-time lecturer at the University as from the 1st
of January. I have completed my MSc degree in 2006 at the University of Stellenbosch.
My field of interest is the modelling of fluid flow through various types of
porous media.

Dr. Knowlton is the Technical Director of Particulate
Solid Research, Inc. (PSRI), a consortium conducting applied research in the
fluid-particle field for 28 member companies from Finland,
France, Germany, The Netherlands, Brazil, India,
South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Canada
and the United States. Before becoming Technical Director of PSRI,
Dr. Knowlton was the head of the Fluidization Research and Consulting Group at
the Institute of Gas Technology (IGT) for 25 years.
